Date Energy Bites

Craving a simple, sweet snack? Then these Energy Bites are for you! Dipped in chocolate & infused with peanut butter flavor, they are nothing short of delicious. These are a great substitute for store brought protein bars and even candy. They are a snack that you can feel good about eating because you know exactly what is in them. Plus, you’ll get street cred that you actually made these yourself.

Date Every Bites
Yields: 12 balls
- 2 cups of oatmeal
- 1 and 1/2 cups of dates
- 2 T chia seeds
- 4 T agave
- 1 scoop protein (I use a plant based one)
- 1/4th cup dark chocolate
- Combine all of the ingredients above together in your blender or food processor.
- Blend together until a thick dough forms.
- Once the dough has formed, scoop the mixture out of the blender and roll pieces into balls.
- If the dough is hard to roll, chill the dough for 20 minutes and then try again.
- Once your balls are rolled, set them aside.
- Next, melt your chocolate (I melt it in the microwave on low power heat so that it doesn’t burn).
- When the chocolate is fully melted, dip each ball in half way. After each ball is dipped, place them on parchment paper and stick them in the fridge to harden up.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, they are ready to eat! They will last in the fridge for up to two weeks.
