Your Guide for What to Wear to a Spring/Summer Wedding

Got invited to a wedding but have no idea what to wear?
It’s about that time… WEDDING SEASON.
While getting invited to a wedding can be a ton of fun, finding an outfit for the occasion can be a little bit stressful. As someone who currently has a ton of weddings lined up for the next year (it seems like every friend is getting married at once!), I had to figure out some options quick. I know a lot of you guys are in a similar position, so I wanted to share a quick and easy Guide for What to Wear to a Spring/Summer Wedding. I also broke it down depending on the type of wedding, and gathered tons of gorgeous shop-able pieces that will be perfect for the big day below! Let’s do this.

Black Tie Wedding
Black tie wedding dress code: Black Tie is typically the dressiest of all wedding dress codes. This means floor length gowns, cocktail dresses, or formal pants. While this type of dress code is a bit harder to dress for as it’s outside of most peoples regular wardrobe, the dresses are so much fun! Above, i’m wearing a cocktail dress style that is perfect for a Black Tie Wedding.
Formal or Black Tie Optional
Formal wedding dress code: Formal or “black tie optional” is almost the same as Black Tie. For women, this again means maxi dresses, fun cocktail dresses, or nice pants. I loved how the one I featured above is a neutral color, but a ton of fun due to the ruffles! This dress comes in a ton of colors and is a top rated favorite.

Beach/ Tropical Wedding
Beach wedding dress code:
Beach weddings are truly one of a kind! I have yet to experience one, but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming up every outfit I would wear! Here, sun dresses, floral patterns, and two pieces outfits are what you can expect to wear to a beach wedding. Opt for dressy sandals or wedges for footwear, and a hat if the wedding is outside in the sun.
Casual Wedding

Causal wedding dress code:
Casual/laid-back weddings are awesome since they give you a chance to get a fun outfit that won’t break the bank. Sundresses, wrap dresses, or a midi skirt with a nice blouse work great for this type of wedding! Again, wedges or dressy sandals are perfect for footwear. Above, I featured a simple lace dress.
As for accessories, you can most likely find something in your closet that will work great for the occasion! If you’re looking to purchase a staple “I wear this to nice events” piece however, I shared some of my favorites below. My ultimate favorites are the shoes featured in all of the above images (clearly I love them haha)
That’s it! I hope this Guide for What to Wear to a Spring/Summer Wedding helped and that you have a better idea of what to wear.
