5 Ingredient Iced Chai Latte (vegan + easy!)

Repeat after me: I will not go to the coffee shop. I will not go to the coffee shop. I will not go to the coffee shop.
I, like so many of us, am always guilty of running to the coffee shop anytime I want a fun drink in the morning. While it’s nice to go every once in a while, it totally adds up. In an effort to save time, money, and just learn something new, I set out on a quest to create a perfect Iced Chai Latte recipe at home. After a few failed attempts (lol okay 5 or 6), I have finally come up with the most delicious creation that I literally look forward to every morning. I have even found myself waking up earlier just because I’ve been thinking about this drink.

This Iced Chai Latte just so happens to be five ingredients, vegan (heyyyy non-dairy friends!) and makes your kitchen smell delicious after you’re done making it. Trust me, you will be shocked just how good this is! Now, let me start off by saying when you see the words “homemade chai spices”, DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED. When I first started researching how to make this recipe, I started to re-think my decision when I saw how many recipes called for homemade spices, frothed milk, heating things up to a certain temperature, etc. It all seemed way too complicated haha. Through my multiple attempts, I worked to simplify, until I was left with a super easy recipe that takes no more than 10 minutes to throw together. I promise, it’s worth it & so easy.
In this recipe, I am using Almond Breeze Vanilla Almondmilk Creamer. Almond Breeze is one of the first dairy-free brands I stumbled upon when I went vegan years ago and it has remained one of my very favorites through the test of time. They make loads of different non-dairy products (like almondmilk, almondmilk yogurt, and almond flour) that I use all the time, but this new creamer is currently my fave. Almond Breeze Almondmilk Creamer is perfect in this recipe since it’s subtly sweet, creamy smooth, and has that hint of almond taste.
As someone who used to be a die-hard creamer fan when I drank dairy, I am honestly really picky with my creamers now. I love how Almond Breeze Almondmilk Creamer is an alternative for dairy and gives every recipe a tasty little upgrade. It’s made from the best California almonds and comes in Caramel, Sweet Creme, and Vanilla. All are awesome, but I’m a sucker for the classic Vanilla I’m using here. This new and improved creamer is on select grocery shelves now, and I highly recommend trying it!

- 1 bag of black tea
- Homemade chai spices (will list below)
- 1 cup of Almond Breeze Unsweetened Original Almondmilk
- Almond Breeze Almondmilk Creamer
- optional: sweetener
- Add 2 cups of water to a pot over medium heat.
- Next, add in the black tea bag + 1 Tbsp of chai spices.
